Liebster’ed

My new friend Jason over at Griffin’s Grub awarded me The Liebster Award.

Griffin's Grub

Wow.

What an honor to receive this award and especially to receive it from a fellow Egghead AND on Valentine’s Day!

Okay, let me back up for those of you who are lost.

An Egghead is someone who is passionate about cooking on their Big Green Egg.

The Liebster Award originated in Germany and means “favorite, beloved, dearest”.

Please check out Griffin’s Grub — this guy can cook!

And he had me hooked with: “If you’re looking, you ain’t cookin’!”

The rules for The Liebster Award are:

      1) Show thanks to the blogger who awarded you by linking back to his/her blog.

2) Pick 5 blogs with less than 200 followers and let them know about your nomination by leaving a comment on their blog, and

3) Post the award on your blog!

The hardest part for me was picking 5 blogs. Many of the blogs I read have well over 200 followers and a lot of my favorites have nothing to do with Food or Travel.

I decided to pick the websites that came to my mind first and here they are in no particular order:

Travel Reportage is a blog I recently stumbled on.  Giulia shares my love of food, travel, and photography and brings them all together in a unique way that makes her page that much more special.

Kathryn of Real Fit Mom is a stay at home mom of four. She writes about her journey and struggles to become (and stay) fit on a budget. I love to read her posts because it is just like the title suggests – REAL. She not only describes her successes, she shares her struggles. I know there are so many people out there who can relate to her real life experiences.

I first found out about Serious Food for the Soul on Facebook. Nonna shows me a lot of love over there and has brought me many new followers.  She was born and raised in the south, loves to drink sweet tea, and eats bacon. No wonder I think she is amazing!

First Look, Then Cook is another blog I found on Facebook. I love her pictures and how well she explains what she cooks. I also love that she started her blog for the same reason I started NI. Like me, Dawn used to share her recipes with her friends and family via email and decided to put them on a website so that everyone could see/share them.

Deedra is a Mixed Media Artist whose work blows my mind. There is no other way to explain it. Her creativity is off the charts. See for yourself on Deedra Kerby Photography

Please check them out and let them know what you think.

Thank you to Griffin’s Grub and all of my readers.

You have no idea how cool it is to know that someone other than my husband and best friends look at my posts and pictures.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
