Wassi’s Meat Market sells half pound burgers that have hickory smoked bacon and Wisconsin cheddar jack cheese ground into the meat.
I know. That’s what I said!
I cooked them on my Big Green Egg this weekend and my family went nuts.
Yes. That is more bacon and cheddar on top. I couldn’t help it.
They come already made into patties.
I added course salt and pepper to one side but left the other side plain since there is already salty bacon and cheese ground into the meat.
And because I was going to add more later.
I heated the cooker to about 500F:
And tossed them on.
Burgers smell incredible when they cook on the grill.
Burgers with bacon smell even better!
Next, I added the bacon and cheese.
I closed all of the cooker’s vents and let them dwell for about 5 minutes.
We loaded them up with ketchup and onion and dug-in!
The Oohs and Aahs were all I needed to hear to know that we’d be making these again very soon.
