Georgia Mountain EggFest 2017

Big Green Egg Eggfest

The 7th Annual Georgia Mountain EggFest took place May 19-20, 2017 at the famous Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds. This was my 4th year attending the Georgia Mountain EggFest and, I swear, somehow it just keeps getting better and better.

One of the things I (and many other EggHeads) enjoy about this EggFest is the nonpareil venue: covered booths with electricity, a shaded tree-lined walkway, ample places to sit down and relax, and plentiful parking.

Another reason the Georgia Mountain EggFest is such an epic event year after year is because of the mastermind, John Hall.
The time, energy, dedication, passion, and love he puts into this EggFest is why the Georgia Mountain EggFest is considered the Favorite EggFest for so many. I mean, what other EggFest gives away 5 brand new MiniMax Big Green Eggs in the cook’s drawing?

This year, the cook to taster ratio was 1:17.5 and, well, I’ll just quote John Hall, “that is way out of whack!”

Cooks, all 126 one of you, thank you! Thank you for coming from Canada, Maine, Arkansas, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Florida, etc. You are why people pour through the gates of the Georgia Mountain EggFest. YOU are the stars of the show.

Save the date: The 8th Annual Georgia Mountain EggFest will be held May 18th and 19th, 2018 at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds in Hiawassee, GA.

Now without further ado, here is a little taste of the 7th Annual Georgia Mountain EggFest:
