15 Memorial Day Weekend Recipes
Memorial Day is a special day where we honor the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the United States Armed Forces.
As we remember our heroes, many of us will gather with our friends and family for cookouts and parties.
If you are still trying to decide what to cook this weekend, I collected 15 of my favorite Memorial Day Weekend Recipes your family and friends will love.
On Monday, I’ll be making these fall-off-the-bone Beef Ribs:
Another great rib recipe: Baby Back Ribs!
Looking for something you can cook inside?
I’ve been making this Oven Pulled Pork for years:
It goes really well with the Carolina Slaw and Secret Sauce you’ll find on the same recipe.
If you’re going to a party and need to take a dish, look no further than Calico Beans and Four Cheese Macaroni.
Those are the two dishes my friends request at every covered dish gathering I attend.
Everyone loves shrimp, right?
Shrimp Burgers with Wasabi Aioli on Hawaiian Rolls are like sliders, only WAY better.
Every party has poppers these days, but not every party has Jalapeño Shrimp Poppers!
And these Green Lighting Shrimp never last long.
We like to make Shrimp Tacos with them with this Spicy Pear and Mango Salsa.
So good!
Chicken Wings are another must. These are cooked for about an hour at 300F and the result is crispy, tender, smoky goodness.
Another delicious wing recipe is Jalamango Lime Wings:
My friend Craig Dyal came up with the recipe and I promise you will love it!
It’s the perfect combination of sweet and heat.
Need a creative chicken dish?
These Chicken Bombs are when chicken and jalapeño poppers collide:
Chicken thighs stuffed with a jalapeño that has been stuffed with cheese and then it’s all wrapped in bacon!
You might think you are full, but you know you have room in your “dessert stomach”!
Fresh Berries with Mascarpone Cream is a refreshing make-ahead dessert perfect for a warm summer day.
And the colors are perfect for Memorial Day Weekend.
Last but not least, this Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Breakfast Casserole will make serving breakfast after a crazy long weekend a cinch.
It can be made a day ahead so all you have to do is toss it into the oven when you wake up.
Everyone can casually eat when they decide to roll out of bed while you sip coffee and recover.
Have a wonderful weekend, NI Friends.
Eat well, have fun, stay safe, and remember those who gave all.
