Georgia Mountain EggFest 2018
The 8th Annual Georgia Mountain EggFest was held May 18-19, 2018 in Hiawassee, Georgia.
What is an EggFest?
An Eggfest is a venue for people who enjoy cooking on a Big Green Egg or who want to start cooking on one.
It is also a weekend for EggHeads to come together to cook, eat, drink, exchange ideas, and catch-up with each other.
And the Georgia Mountain EggFest is always one heck of a good time!
The weekend kicked-off with a Meet and Greet Party on Friday night.
Everyone either brought a covered dish to share or cooked something on one of the 5 large Big Green Eggs available.
On Saturday morning the cooks showed up bright and early to light The Eggs and prep their creations.
We were blessed with a quick north Georgia rain shower:
But it wasn’t long before the sun showed himself:
And 2500 people celebrated the day with all things Big Green Egg.
Three classes were offered at the EggFest: Big Green Egg 101, Pizza on the Egg, and Wok on the Egg.
Several outstanding vendors were there offering their Eggccessories:
And everyone’s favorite part: The Food!
Warning! Food porn ahead!
And if for some reason you were still hungry after all of that, there was more at the after party!
If you’ve ever attended an EggFest, you know that The Cooks are the backbone of the weekend.
Here’s to all of the amazing cooks who worked so hard to make sure the 8th Annual Georgia Mountain EggFest was a huge success!
And last, but never least, the man who makes it all possible: John Hall.
“Thank you” just isn’t enough.
The time, energy, dedication, passion, and love that you put into this EggFest is why the Georgia Mountain EggFest is considered the Favorite EggFest for so many.
