Blaauwheim Guest House
John and I went back to South Africa in October 2015.
On either end of our week, we stayed at Blaauwheim Guest House, a beautiful B&B 20 minutes from Cape Town International Airport.
Blaauwheim Guest House is located in Somerset West, a perfect location for exploring Cape Town and the Cape Winelands.
Johan and Jo-Anne Blaauw have created an inviting luxurious retreat for their guests.
They offer two suites: Pinotage and Chardonnay.
Each suite has a lounge, dining room, and kitchenette:
And a spacious bedroom with a full bathroom.
The third room, the Shiraz, is a deluxe bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and a private enclosed courtyard.
We had the opportunity to stay in both the Shiraz deluxe double room and the Pinotage suite and thoroughly enjoyed both.
At Blaauwheim Guest House you can choose the bed & breakfast option or self-catering option.
We opted for breakfast and I am glad we did!
Johan is an artist in the kitchen.
Blaauwheim Guest House also comes with a few fun friends!
A stay at Blaauwheim Guest House is like visiting lifelong friends.
Johan and Jo-Anne provide an unmeasurable degree of gracious hospitality and beds so comfortable that you’ll struggle to pull yourself away!
I highly recommend this guesthouse when your travels take you to Cape Town.
They most certainly have created a place where strangers become friends and friends part of the family, just like their website says.
Thank you, Johan and Jo-Anne. We loved every second of our time with you!
