Pat’s vs. Geno’s

In December 2013 we met our friends in Philadelphia for the Army vs. Navy Game.

Our friend Michelle is ARMY, and her husband Jeff is NAVY.

But the real matchup of the weekend was Pat’s vs. Geno’s.

That is Philly’s greatest rivalry.

So, who has the best cheesesteak out of the two restaurants?

I needed to find out for myself.

Pat’s and Geno’s are on the corner of 9th Street and Passyunk Avenue in South Philly.

24 hours a day they face-off, literally, while people like us walk between them for a taste test.

Know the lingo before ordering:

First up, Pat’s.

Next up, Geno’s.

Okay.

That was a lot easier than I thought it would be.

And the winner is . . .

Pat’s really is the King of Steaks!

It was unanimous!

We all preferred Pat’s steak and bread over Geno’s.

Even the french fries at Pat’s were better.
