Sunshine State EggFest 2014
The 2014 Sunshine State EggFest was this past weekend:
What is an EggFest?
It is a venue for people who enjoy cooking on a Big Green Egg or who want to start cooking on one.
The Sunshine State EggFest was held at the Crowne Plaza Oceanfront Resort in Melbourne, Florida.
I think it’s a pretty sweet venue for an EggFest, don’t you?
The EggFest began at 9:00 AM with everything from Nutella Smores to Warm Doughnuts to Smoked Cheeses to Wings to Apple Pie Moonshine.
The cooks were set up in a large rectangle with a wide path perfect for making laps.
It was like the Daytona 500:
Only better.
My friends Jeff and Mindy joined me:
I don’t know how many laps we made, but here’s a little taste of what we ate and a look at some of the amazing cooks responsible for our day of Egg-Feasting.
I took a much needed belly-break and went over to see Al and Judy with All Custom Shirts.
Check out my new EggHead shirt:
I love it!
Ready for a few more EggFest laps?
What an incredible afternoon of deliciously egged food and amazing friends.
Many thanks to Bubba Tim and Little Chef, the hardworking duo who made the afternoon possible.
And of course a round of applause to the many volunteers and cooks who made this day of gluttony a huge success!
Speaking of cooks and volunteers:
I found several of them at the After Party.
This is when the cooks cook for the cooks.
Just when I thought I couldn’t eat another bite, the After Party quickly changed my mind.
EggHeads sure know how to have a party!
If you’ve never been to an EggFest, do yourself a favor and find one near you ASAP.
You don’t have to be an EggHead to attend an Eggfest . . .
But I can’t promise it won’t turn you into one!
